Unusual early Halloween devil/demon mask constructed from painted red gauze or mesh with an attached red fabric pointed hood. Features wonderfully crude hand-painted facial details including heavy eyebrows, mustache, blue accents and a black goatee. The pointed hood gives the character an almost jester or Mephistopheles appearance. Appears to date approximately to the 1930s–1940s.
Note, some separation near the stitching for the hood on one side, see the fourth photo.
Item(s) may show light signs of wear consistent with age and use over the years, including marks, scuffs, light scratches, small dings, toning or light discoloration, etc. Please view all photos.
