RARE Vintage 1950s Long-Nose Gar Full-Body Fish Wall Mount Taxidermy Genuine
Genuine vintage taxidermy Longnose Gar mount, believed to date to the 1940s–1950s, and reportedly formerly displayed in an educational nature center.
Unlike many modern taxidermy mounts with rigid, brittle fins, this older example retains its original translucent fins, which remain supple and flexible. There are a few gentle bends, waves, and light edge wear to some of the fins consistent with age, handling, and decades of display, but they remain well preserved overall.
Measures approximately 23.5 inches long from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail, 5.25 inches tall from the dorsal to ventral fin, and approximately 3 inches wide across the pectoral fins.
**Disclaimer:** This taxidermy mount dates from approximately the 1940s–1950s and may exhibit age-related wear consistent with vintage taxidermy. Such wear may include light edge wear, minor loss or thinning in areas, small imperfections, fading, dust accumulation, or other character marks acquired over decades of display and storage. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the piece.
