Original storage trunk / foot locker for Lt. Leroy F. Nortman (33rd Division) of Oak Park, Illinois.
I could not find much info on Mr. Nortman, such as the battles he served in, however, I did find an article where he was listed as "wounded severely". I could not find a gravesite for Lt. Nortman...possibly died during the war and was buried there.
Trunk is in fair condition. The finish on the tinware on the trunk is worn off and surface rust present. Liner on the inside is stained and tattered. Scuffs, marks, small dings on the outside. Both leather handles are missing. Please see all photos.
