Vintage large-scale radio-controlled model of a WWII U.S. Navy PT (Patrol Torpedo) boat, likely representing the famous PT-109 / Elco-type patrol torpedo boat.
The model measures approximately 34" long x 7" wide x 7" tall and features wooden construction with detailed deck fittings, gun positions, torpedo tubes and other military details. Based on its size, construction and configuration, this model is believed to possibly have been built from a vintage Dumas kit, although no manufacturer's marking has been located and the maker cannot be guaranteed.
Included with the boat are the pictured vintage RC components and accessories, including a Futaba Magnum Junior pistol-grip transmitter, Tower Hobbies FM3000 receiver, Hobbico AC/DC Multi-Charger 905, battery packs, loose torpedo tubes and other pictured components/accessories.
Condition: Sold AS-IS and UNTESTED. The boat and radio-control equipment have not been tested for operation. There are multiple loose, detached and/or broken pieces and fittings on the upper portion of the boat, and additional age-related wear may be present.
The model is being sold completely as found. No attempt has been made to repair, restore, charge or operate the boat or its electronics. The loose pieces pictured are included.
