SCARCE Antique 1880s Paragon Axle Grease Wooden Oil Bentwood Wood Box Can
SCARCE Antique 1880s Paragon Axle Grease Wooden Oil Bentwood Wood Box Can
Paragon Axle Grease was produced by the Meriam & Morgan Paraffine Company of Chicago in the 1880s-1890s.
This is the only example I have ever seen of an original container from the company, I could not find another example on the internet.
Incredible graphics depicting two children pulling a wood-spoked wheel wagon, while three children cheer in the wagon, one holding a flag that reads "Paragon Axle Grease"....the same depiction seen on the early advertising trade cards.
Beautiful bentwood lidded box that measures 5-1/2" in diameter and 2-1/2" tall
I have attached a photo of the trade card for reference only, this trade card is NOT included.
