RARE Vintage Dudley Masonic Pocket Watch Size 12 19 Jewel Model 2 14KGF
The Dudley Watch Company was only in business for a little over 4 years and primarily made Masonic themed pocket watches. Unfortunately, by the time they got production rolling, pocket watches were going out of style in favor of wristwatches. Wristwatches, previously considered effete for men, were unpopular prior to WWI but their use by the military turned that around. The fact that they were catering to what was already a fairly narrow market, Masons, didn't help matters. After declaring bankruptcy in 1925, successor companies made variations of this watch up until 1976 before throwing in the towel. This model appears to have been made by P.W. Baker, the successor company, in 1933 and sold for what is equivalent to about $3200 in today's money.

Keystone Watch Case 14K Gold Filled
When wound, the watch starts running and the movement appears to operate. However, no long-term testing has been performed for accuracy, power reserve, or reliability. As with any antique mechanical timepiece, it is being sold as found and should be purchased with the assumption that it may require cleaning, adjustment, tuning, servicing, or repair to meet modern timekeeping standards. Please review all photos carefully and judge condition for yourself prior to purchase.
Note, there is a very small ding to the back of the watch case where the shield engraving is.
