RARE Original Tintype Locomotive Train Railroad Half Plate
Sheboygan & Fond du Lac Railroad, Wisconsin
Measures approx. 5-1/8” by 4”… about the size of a half plate
Photo depicts a wood-burning locomotive stationed at the Glenbeulah Depot. The photo was taken in the last year of the Sheboygan and Mississippi Railroad, before it was sold in 1861 to become the Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Railroad.
Mark faintly on the front is “1860” in the upper left corner. Along the bottom edge, “Sheb. & Lac” is written. In the upper right corner, it appears to read “S. Fairweather” whom was the conductor.
Marked on the back is “From 1860 Fond du Lac and Sheboygan”
