Antique Swedish Scandinavian Handwoven Folk Art Coverlet Linen Wool 72x99

Antique handwoven Scandinavian folk art coverlet, likely Swedish, measuring approximately 72" x 99". Features a natural linen ground with vibrant red wool supplementary-weft decoration including a large central eight-point star, stylized tree motifs, geometric forms, and human figures. Single-sided display design with decorative woven border and looped selvage edges.

Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1880–1910). Lightweight coverlet or bedspread weight with wonderful primitive folk art character. Displays beautifully and would make an excellent addition to a collection of Scandinavian textiles, folk art, or primitive Americana.
