An original circa 1890s to 1910s cast iron horse head hitching post top with original iron ring. Features a heavy cast construction with a 3-1/4" interior mounting opening and retains a wonderful untouched surface with remnants of old paint and natural patina.
Measures approximately 13" tall.
Displays wear consistent with age and outdoor use including surface rust, paint loss, and other age-related wear. The casting is a two-piece mold construction and remains a highly decorative example of late 19th to early 20th century horse-related architectural ironwork.
