Antique 1930s Art Deco Skyscraper Polychrome 5 Slip Shade Chandelier Geometric

An exceptional hanging light fixture dating to the circa 1930s, retaining its original tin ceiling escutcheon and cast spelter (pot metal) frame. The fixture features five matching frosted geometric glass panels and retains much of its original polychrome-painted finish

Please note that this fixture is being sold for restoration purposes only. It is currently non-working and will require rewiring prior to installation. A replacement hanging chain will need to be sourced for suspension from the ceiling escutcheon. Included with the fixture are the five glass panels, ceiling escutcheon, and original ornamental drop hanger shown in the photographs. The chandelier retains its original socket assemblies and hardware. All electrical components are untested and should be inspected and/or replaced by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition is very good overall for its age. The cast metal frame is free of visible breaks, repairs, or structural damage. The original painted finish exhibits expected age-related wear, including scattered paint loss, minor discoloration, and surface wear consistent with decades of use. The cast metal components show no obvious signs of pot metal swelling, distortion, or cracking.

All five glass panels are free of cracks and repairs. One panel displays a slightly different white color tone than the remaining four, though all appear to be period examples and fit the fixture properly. Minor flea bites, edge roughness, or manufacturing irregularities may be present and are consistent with age and handling.

No visible maker's marks or manufacturer stamps were found; however, the design, construction, and decorative treatment are characteristic of American Art Deco lighting from the early 1930s.

• Ornamental drop hanger: approximately 3.25" long
• Ceiling escutcheon: approximately 5.75" x 5.75"

For ease and safety of shipping, the fixture will be partially disassembled and will require reassembly upon arrival.
