Antique German devotional shadow box dated 1892 featuring a large applied beaded and woven textile cross, embroidered inscription "Im Kreuz ist Heil," and delicate floral embellishments. A fine example of late Victorian religious folk art and memorial handiwork.
Measures approximately 18” x 26.5” x 3” deep
The shadowbox itself is approximately 14.5“ x 23“
There are a few chips in the ordinate detailing on the wood frame. The back textile within the shadowbox does have a water stain.
