Antique 1800s Empire Flame Mahogany Buffet Kitchen Sideboard w/ Carved Claw Feet

Measures approximately 55" wide x 23" deep x 44" high to the work surface, or 55" high to the top of the backboard.

The two center drawers each measure approximately 16.5" wide x 10.25" deep x 5" high (interior). The left and right side drawers each measure approximately 19.75" wide x 19" deep x 3.75" high (interior).

Overall depth from the back of the cabinet to the tip of the carved front feet measures approximately 25".

This sideboard is in very good antique condition with no significant structural damage. As expected of a piece of this age, it exhibits scattered minor nicks, light surface wear, and other signs of honest use accumulated over many decades. Notable condition issues include a small chip to the upper left portion of the left carved front column, a small veneer chip at the lower corner of the left door, a small veneer chip on the upper corner of the right side drawer, and minor chips around the bases of two of the replacement glass knobs.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description. The piece may exhibit additional minor age-related wear, including natural finish wear, veneer shrinkage, and other characteristics consistent with nearly two centuries of use.

The glass knobs are period Victorian replacements and are not original to the sideboard. The piece would have originally been fitted with turned wooden or brass knobs. No key is included.

All drawers and doors operate smoothly and as intended. The right door opens properly but requires a slight upward lift on the knob while pulling to disengage the latch.

The left carved front column remains present and fits securely in place but would benefit from being re-glued to eliminate movement.
