An exceptional circa 17th-century forged iron axe! Blacksmith forge mark cannot be made out by my eyes.

Few splits in the wodo ahndle but had been wire wrapped many years ago fot stability and support.

Head measures approx. 9" long overall with a 2.25" axe edge and a 5.25" hooked edge

Overall length from the top of the head to the end of the handle is approx. 19.25"
