Unlike many examples that utilize a hanging ring, this design appears to have been intended for wrapping reins or a lead rope directly around the iron bar.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMeasures approximately 13\" tall with a 3-1\/8\" interior mounting socket. Heavy cast iron construction with traces of original paint and wonderful aged patina throughout. The piece was manufactured using a two-piece mold, with the mold seam still visible.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDisplays wear consistent with age and outdoor use. There is a casting break\/opening on the side of the muzzle as shown in the photos. Additional casting damage and losses are present around the decorative collar\/base area, along with surface rust, paint loss, and general age-related wear.
